This January, Peaceful Pines Senior Living in Milbank celebrates three years of serving the Milbank community. That translates to three years of relationships, shared moments, and a deep commitment to helping residents live life fully, comfortably, and with purpose.
To mark the milestone, we invite the community to join us for our 3-Year Anniversary Celebration on Friday, January 23rd, from 9:00–11:00 AM, featuring muffins, mimosas, and guided tours of our community. But as we reflect on the past three years, it’s clear this celebration is about more than an anniversary; it’s about the people who make Peaceful Pines feel like home.
From the beginning, Peaceful Pines Milbank was designed to be a place where life continues, not slows down. Over the past year, days have been filled with laughter, connection, and moments that matter. Whether that’s gathering around the table for Sunday family dinners, sharing stories during Wednesday happy hour, or heading out to a local coffee shop, pontoon rides, and other local outings.
Residents feel that sense of ease and belonging right away.
“I just LOVE it here, no cooking or cleaning,” shared resident Gladys H., capturing a sentiment we hear often. For many residents, Peaceful Pines offers not just support, but relief. The freedom to enjoy life without the weight of daily responsibilities.
Family connections remain at the heart of what we do. This past year alone, more than 130 guests joined residents for our annual Thanksgiving dinner, while holidays like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day were celebrated with teas, grill-outs, and time spent together. Those moments ripple beyond our walls, bringing peace of mind to families as well.
“My kids are so happy I’m here,” said Lila W. “I get taken care of so good. I just love it.” Her words reflect what so many families tell us: knowing their loved one is supported, engaged, and cared for makes all the difference.
Life at Peaceful Pines is also about staying active and connected. Residents enjoy in-house therapy services and daily wellness opportunities, including a NuStep machine that has quickly become a favorite. Spiritual wellness is nurtured through weekly worship services led by local churches, while social connections flourish during community events and group outings.
For many, friendships form naturally here. “I really like it, the staff is always so friendly,” said Denny B. “I’ve made some good friends, and everyone is so nice.” The relationships that develop between residents, staff, families, and the community are what turn a building into a true home.
Peaceful Pines Milbank is proud to be an active part of the broader Milbank community. From hosting local DAV meetings and Girl Scout gatherings to volunteering through the Chamber, Kiwanis, and local backpack programs, giving back is woven into everyday life here. We believe senior living thrives when it remains deeply connected to the community around it.
Perhaps best said by resident Clarice R., “I was asked if I missed my home or my house, and I told her absolutely not. I have everything I need right here. Someone does the cooking, the cleaning, and my laundry; it doesn’t get any better than that. I love it here, and the food is so good!”
As we celebrate three years, we are incredibly grateful to our residents who trust us with their stories, to families who walk alongside us, to our dedicated staff, and to the Milbank community that has welcomed Peaceful Pines with open arms.
We look forward to many more years of living life together.
